Membership of the 
Burford and District Society

Founded in 1969 the Burford & District Society is a friendly, voluntary charitable organisation based in Burford that carries out:

  • A programme of talks, visits and social events throughout the year

  • Protects the historical built environment of Burford and the surrounding district. Monitors all planning applications

  • Generates initiatives to improve the Town and district

  • Makes donations to local groups.

 

You are warmly invited to join us, or come along as a visitor to the talks, admission is £5.

 

Our membership year commences on 1st January.

Membership fee: £10.00 per year, per person.  This allows you to attend all evening talks without further payment. There are a three ways to become a member:​

  • Join online, (there is a small 35p card fee applicable)

  • Join by completing and submitting an application form​​

  • ​Just come to our next meeting and join there — you will be very welcome

Join by completing an application form

​Download and complete the Application Form and either email it or post it to the Membership Secretary at the address given in the Application Form. 

 

The form can be completed electronically or by hand. Payment may be made by standing order, by bank transfer or by cheque to address given in the form.

Renewing membership

Standing orders 

If you already pay by standing order, there is nothing for you to do.

To arrange a standing order, simply notify your bank that you wish to pay £10 once a year on whatever date you choose by standing order to:

Payments online

If you already pay online, there is nothing for you to do.

Note that your membership automatically renews online until cancelled or your card expires. If your card has expired or if you now want to pay online, just renew at Join Online above.

 

It would greatly assist us if you did choose to pay by standing order or online. However, if you do not, you are still most welcome to pay by:
