Now that we have reached the end of the Summer, I write to remind all members that our next event is a talk by Juliet Heslewood entitled 'Travels with my Art', on Tuesday 17 September. Details are on our website; but to confirm, the event is at 7pm at the Warwick Hall and you can sign up online.
Juliet has many talents. She has a first degree in the History of Art from London University and a Masters degree from the University of Toulouse. She now lives locally but previously lived in France for some thirty years. She has led many study tours for Ace Cultural Tours, and lectures for the Arts Society and the Ashmolean Museum. She has also published books on many subjects, including the history of art and folklore (see for example her highly unusual Contes Du Lot).
This promises to be a fascinating talk, from a first-class speaker, about a country which was once our 'ancient enemy' but has always been our closest neighbour.
